It was still sprinkling the rain when these guys pulled up for their session. Less than 30 minutes before we were supposed to start we’d had a thunderstorm and they traveled an hour to get to my house for the session. Summer weather is hard on shooting schedules, but thankfully this one worked out. The weather cleared, we saw a rainbow, had some fog in the backgrounds, and even some sun!

I enjoyed meeting this family and getting to know them. They told me all about their outdoor adventures and I loved it! This is one busy family and it’s obvious that they have a good time wherever they go.

They helped me add a new item to my bucket list – swimming with dolphins! Hearing them share about that experience was really neat. It was obviously a big highlight from their trip!

Dixon family, thanks for being such great sports and braving the weather. I had a fantastic time with you and I hope the ice cream (and hot dog) afterwards was fantastic!
